SAVE the Magpie! Take ME!!!

This is a longer story than I would usually blog so I will try to make it worth your read, since it is such a great story! It brought many laughs and my saddness. My friends Jazon, Kristen, and Ruth came to my apartment yesterday and we were just chillen when I suggested we go for a spin in Jazmine (my new car) since Jazon hadn't really seen my car or had a ride. So we all went for a wonderfully fun Sunday drive. We drove up to the Provo Temple where Jazon and I traded seats so he could drive. We drove all around the neighborhoods up by the Temple and saw all the huge and beautiful homes that are up there. As we were driving the following dialoge took place.... ( please enjoy)
Kenzie: OH MY GOSH! LOOK AT THE BIRD!! PULL OVER!!! QUICK!!!!
Jazon: What?! WHAT?!
Kenzie: That hawk is killing that bird! It just grabbed in while they were flying! STOP bird STOOOPPP! ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW!!! LET ME OUT!!!
(Kenzie reaches over Jazon to unlock the window and rolls down her window yelling)
Kenzie: STOP! GET AWAY! STOP, STOP!!
(Kenzie jumps out of the car to try and chase the hawk away Kristen, Ruth, Jazon yelling at Kenzie to get back in the car while trying to get a video on their phones of the hawk killing the magpie)
Jazon: Dear Dear  Makenzie get back in the car..!
(Mean while magpie got away for a moment but alas the hawk gets it again.. That was the last flight the poor magpie had... trying to escape the grasp of a mean ole' hawk)
Ruth: Look at all the feathers!
(Kenzie turns around, looks and starts picking up the feathers while Jazon starts taking pictures of Kenzie picking them up)
(people walk out onto their porch.. looking curiously at the strange girl picking up feathers off of their lawn...wondering what in the world is going on)
Jazon: Sweet Makenzie get back in the car!
Ruth and Kristen: Kenzie get back in the car!
Jazon: Dear sweet Kenzie get back in the car... come on.. PLEASE!
(Kenzie ignoring them telling the curious homeowners what just happened on their very lawn.. a tragic tale!)
Jazon, Ruth, Kristen: Kenzie get back in the CAR! We HAVE to go! Come on! Leave the people alone!
(Kenzie gets in the car as she tells the people to go to their backyard and check on the magpie)
(They all drive away)
Kristen: The chihuahua got the magpie too!
Kenzie: NOOOOOO!!!!!
(They all drive away laughing at Kenzie as she sits silently in the car holding the feathers of the deceased magpie and Jazon takes a picture)

Meet Jazmine :-)

Jazmine is my newest blessing.. When I say blessing I truly mean it! Flo (my Honda Accord)  was old and needed to retire. She will be greatly missed!! MANY great memories were made while she provided a comfortable ride for many :-) Jazmine is a young one and she and I along with many others will enjoy many fun and memorable rides. The timing was perfect and things went so smoothly for her to become mine.
Welcome to my CrAzY LiFe Jazmine!

She has a working RADIO!
She also has a cute little e-brake!

Welcome Jazmine :-) :-)

Faithful Servants of the Lord

This weekend has been a spiritually full one to say the least! I love when I get opportunities like I have had this weekend. I had the opportunity to hear Elder Quentin L Cook speak at the Institute on Friday! It was the most amazing Experience! Saturday and Sunday my stake had stake conference. Elder Pierson from the Quorum of the Seventy came and spoke to us. Sunday evening was the CES fireside with Elder L. Tom Perry. Like I said a spiritually full weekend. This weekend defiantly added to my testimony, that the Lord has chosen such incredible men to be his mouth piece and to lead and guide this church, assist the members in their journey here on earth and aid in bringing others who are not members to this great gospel. I know these men are called of our Heavenly Father. These men taught by the spirit, This has made me so excited for conference next month! I just thought I would highlight a few things that I heard this weekend that touched me. These are all such amazing quotes and words of wisdom. I made certain words bold because I wanted to, it does not mean that the speaker emphasized those words.

-"Put character and commitment to the Lord ahead of everything else". He was speaking of choosing an eternal companion.
-"Don't limit yourself. Have goals!"
- We all want to be hero's, making the right decision whether it is hard or not is just as heroic as anything a hero has ever done.

Saturday Evening Adult Session
-When the Holy Ghost is present you get what you need.
-"You can NEVER make a mistake with out being warned by the Holy Ghost"
-"If you were told that you were someones Mother or Father, what would you do differently once you knew that?" Well you are someones Mother or Father, spirits on the other side have chosen you and someone else to bring them here and help them in this probationary time. They are rooting for you.
-"You are someones Mother or Father, live with that vision in your mind."
Sunday Morning Final Session
-Be Faithful
-"There is not a day to waste."
-It's time to stand up and stand out for what is right.
-Follow your impressions.. The Lord will bless you.
-"You can do it."
-"Don't let doubt plaque you."
-Once you know who you really are and you know you are a Son or Daughter of God and you know that The Lord is indeed your Father, prayer becomes instinctive.
-Have a desire for obedience.

CES Fireside
-When you see faith weakening in others around you, you then need to work harder to strengthen your faith.
-Be faithful
-Teach and Testify
-"Be certain that you are reading your scriptures daily."
-"Trust the Lord"
-Be an example of Christ like service.
-He challenged us to "RISE up and be the best generation, commit to a new standard!"

mmmmmmm :-) What a weekend!!!
