Believe it... I do!

Jamie, Josh, Makenzie, Rob, April, Justin

Tonight I had the honor of attending a concert for an AMAZING woman! Her name is Jamie Hartley, she has a rare skin condition called EB. This condition is where the skin blisters a lot. Jamie has some scar tissue in her throat and also gets blisters that will pop in her throat. Even with all of those things she still has the most BEAUTIFUL VOICE! You don't believe me do you?? Well Believe it! I was so amazed with her voice and that she has fought so hard to share her amazing gift with others. She is very beautiful and tonight she released a new album, Nella Fantasia. This album is so beautifully put together, the songs are beautiful and inspiring! There were two other artists that sang with Jamie, April Meservy (an amazing friend of mine, I love her dearly) and Justin Williams (former American Idol contestant and artist). I know that these guys have some awesome websites Jamie's is www.jamiehartly.net and there is info for EB at ebsurvivors.org, April's is www.aprilmeservy.com and Justin's is www.justinwilliams.com. I went to this concert with Rob and Josh. The concert was at the most amazing home in Alpine. The concert was in the basement and as you walk in you see a giant pole that you can slide down.... Rob and Josh asked if they could and I got a video of it I will post under this. It was so funny! Listening to all Jamie has gone through really makes you grateful for what you have and grateful for Jamie working so hard to share her gift.

This was the invitation that April sent me for the concert. I had to put it up. She is so beautiful.

You never know what to expect with these boys! I thought they had left so I went to go with them and couldn't find them so I asked a girl if she had seen a tall bald man and a man with spiky blonde hair, she said she had seen them snooping around! I called Rob to find out where they were and the conversation went like this:
Rob: Hey
Kenzie: Where are you??
Rob: (talking softly) We are at the poll!
Kenzie: Are you serious?!?
Rob: (still talking softly) yes I am serious, go down stairs and look up when you get to the poll.
Kenzie: Oh my gosh, really...
Rob: (still talking softly) Just do it.
Kenzie: Did you ask if you could go up there?!?!
Rob: Yes we did! They said we could!!
So I went down stairs to the poll and looked up and low and behold there they were looking down like little boys at christmas time, so excited to be up there. I just started laughing and they kept saying they were nervous but they came down anyway and I took this video of them. Oh and this was after the concert... We aren't that rude :)

JaZz GaMe :)

I went to my first Jazz game and LOVED IT! It was a total blast! The atmosphere was phenomenal :-) It was so fun to see guys fall and get elbowed in the face and have "words" with the ref's! This was so so much fun! The Jazz won the Nets at 98 to 88! Oh words do not describe how much I loved going to the game! It was so beyond awesome ;)

Love the expression on the guys faces:) This game was amazing!

Jazon went with me to the game :) He kept laughing at my reactions.

The Nets kept calling timeouts in the last 2 minutes... it was driving me nuts!

I don't care what you say... a basketball team does NOT need Cheerleaders... waste of space..
Over all I had a BLAST! Basketball is so FUN!

*sigh* Fall Break

Fall break was awesome this year. I had so much fun just hanging out with friends and relaxing. One activity I went on was with some of my closest friends up Provo Canyon. We found a little spot that we pulled off of that lead us down to the river and we relaxed there for a little while. I learned how to skip rocks and the weather was perfect. It was a great day.

Kristie and Sean on the way up the Canyon

Bridal Veil Falls!! I love this place!
The colors up there are phenomenal! I couldn't stop saying how pretty and beautiful things were!

No picnic is complete without armoral leather seat wipes...at least thats what they tell me.. :)

Rob and Sean are picnic-ers with style! They brought their lunch with fancy cups and tupperware! Look in the middle.... they brought their x-tra Hot Franks Sauce... Boys...

Like I said picnic-ers with style.. they would even gently swirl their juice (complete with ICE!!)

The lighting isn't the best but I like this picture! My beautiful friend Kristie! I love her!

Our friend the random kayak guy. He came just sailing along and stopped to visit for a bit. Rob offered him an orange but the guy said it would clash with his beer and pulled it out and took a nice big gulp :) It was kinda funny.

Oh how I love being an Aunt

As it is fairly obivious.. I am so happy to have Riley here! Amanda and Shawn came over with Riley to have my Mother take Riley's baby pictures. I was holding him while Amanda and Shawn were getting situated and my Mom had me look up and she took the first picture. I didn't know that she had taken the second picture. There is something so very special about this little boy. I cant seem to get enough! I am so blessed to have the opportunities to watch the little babies that I do. They are all so special. I can't wait to be a Mother :)

AUNT KENZIE :)

Welcome to the world Riley Joseph Bartlett! Riley came into this world just 3 days after the baby shower Kristie and I gave for Amanda! Perfect timing! Riley was born close to 4 am August 31st. He weighed 5 lbs 13 oz he was 18 inches long. He was 21 days early and healthy as can be! I am so glad he is here and safe and Parents and baby are healthy and happy :) I AM AN AUNT!!! Aunt Kenzie with Riley! He is so precious!

Waiting for Riley

This is my brand new amazing friend Kristie! We met through Amanda because we both wanted to throw her a baby shower. Now we are great friends! So Good :)

We got some light weight rope and clothes pins and hung up some Maternity Pictures that my Mom took for Amanda and Shawn. It was fun to have those pictures to look at!

There was a gift bench that all the gifts were put on and around. The bench was a heavy stone bench and it was so pretty :)

We had the Shower in Amanda's Parents newly remodeled backyard. It was so gorgeous and beautiful weather.

Kristie and I also made some refreshments (it was mostly Kristie :)..) I carved the watermelon to look like a baby carriage ( it was Kristie's Idea) We had Amanda's favorite homemade rolls and cookies and cream cupcakes and banana pudding pies, and  gelatin popcorn and Ice water. It was fun and DELICIOUS!!!

Kristie and I made this diaper cake for Amanda and Shawn. It was so much fun to make :)

ZUMBA!!!

I have found my new favorite thing! DRUM ROLL........... ZUMBA!!  It is the most amazing form of exercise, I absolutely love it! It has helped me reach several goals I set on my journey to becoming healthy. It honestly is an answer to many prayers. I love that I can go to the classes and feel such an amazing transformation. I have lost 8 inches around my hips and I feel stronger, healthier, I have more energy and classes will be close to school and they are only an hour. Can it get much better? I didn't think so :)
